Obedience Group Classes
We offer three different group classes. All are 6 weeks long and last 50 minutes each week. Classes help to prepare your dog for the Therapy Dog and the AKC Canine Good Citizen Exams. All Dogs must be up to date on Rabies and DHPP vaccinations. The process is easy!
Steps to Register
- Call, Email, or stop in.
- Fill out the Group Class Form below.
- Reserve your appointment via an emailed invoice or payment in person.
- Bring your dog’s vaccination records to class or email them in advance.
- Start training!
Designed to teach your dog foundation behaviors, the class will cover: leave it, stay, counter surfing, coming when called, jumping, down, stand, mat work, loose leash walking, politely greeting people, touch, and settle.
This class focuses on expanding on the skills learned during Beginner Class and introducing new ones. The class will cover long distance recalls, introduction to precision heel work, drop (into a down), mat work when guests arrive and during dinner time, loose leash walking, increased distractions, leave it, putting multiple behaviors together, and more.
Once your dog has successfully learned the Beginner and Intermediate behaviors, it’s time to teach them to put it all together for less rewards. S/he will also be introduced to working on tasks at a distance, stop and down during recall, politely greeting other dogs with their owner, extended stays during increasingly difficult distractions, and much more.
What Our Clients Say About This Program...
“Tori is the best! We’ve taken two classes with her and our Buster is the most well-behaved dog we’ve ever had. Highly recommended.”
“I have taken group obedience classes along with private lessons. Tori is great at explaining the learning process and the follow through with our dog Buddy. We learned how to have a lifetime of stress free nail trims and she helped with several obedience lessons. We now attend her Daycare and we won’t go anywhere else. This is a great place and I totally recommend her for any of your dog training needs.”
